Why was I awarded less than I asked for?

Zomia loans are not like bank loans. Because the loans are so affordable—some students may never pay back even the principal of what they borrow—we encourage you to find other sources of funding before taking on a loan. Zomia loans should be that last infusion of cash required for you to pursue a degree, not the first and one-stop shop for borrowing money. We normally do not finance full degrees. Students should show proof of outside funding to improve their chances of being awarded a Zomia loan.
